Bean counter

My little back yard vegetable garden is a roaring success.

The broccoli is especially tasty to little green worms.

The worms also love brussel sprouts.

However, things are looking up for us humans...

There are exactly 3 beans growing, so I can literally make 3 bean salad.

Green tomatoes are growing.

There's one ripening cherry tomato that my faithful companion hasn't stolen. Yet.

It occurs to me that if we ever had to survive off the bounty of our land, we'd be toast.

The tomatoes look delicious. I wish I would have tried container gardening again this year. :)

The ones that survived look yummy though.
Our beans did not germinate at all this year, nothing.
Our tomato plants and potato plants are growing great.
The corn will never mature enough in time before frost. The plants are only up to my ankles.
Sigh.

And this is exactly why I don't bother to garden! Enjoy your three bean salad... I'm off to the store to forage for my veges.

I know for a fact that if we had to survive off of my wilderness skills we would be eating tree bark and those little red berries your mother told you never to eat.
